Olympic Winter Bobsleigh

During the winter olympic bobsleigh takes a very important role in Latvian sports. Latvia is home to the world and European champions in winter bobsleigh and skeleton. For this reason we have one of the biggest bobsleigh tracks in Europe having the competitions and qualification events in winter bobsleigh.

The track is 1200 m long with 16 curves on the way to reach the maximum speed of 130 km/h. Ride down can be a real thrill. The olympic bobsleigh can admit 4 persons at the time and 1 of them is the ground instructor who is steering it during the ride. Each participant will be provided with the safety helmet and will receive safety instructions before the ride.

Activity is not recommended if you have problems with your back, heart, neck or cervical vertebrae. Each participant before the ride will be invited to sign the registration form and safety rules to be followed while on the track.
